Can AM stop crying about the situation. In no way did the coach outscore you by four goals during the game. Face it, the duo of Preston and Terrence up top was just too daunting for your team. As I said earlier, congrats to AM on a good year and congrats to Lincoln for making the State Championship.

welshwizard - you are COMPLETELY right about them being too much for AMHS to handle. I mean, why did Magnet evne try to play Lincoln because they have the best duo in the state.

If you didnt catch the sarcasm in that, then you really should listen up now. Magnet beat Lincoln in the regular season 3-2 WITH the "Batman and Robin" duo. The reason why they lost in the Lowerstate Championship isn't known to me and your guess is as good as mine. However, I would like to give Magnet their due for year in, year out proving themselves worthy opponents. After all, they did go 19-3 with a REDICULOUS schedule (and fyi, even if Lincoln did have the hardest schedule in 1A, they really couldn't handle it if they went 12-13, now could they?)

Don't get me wrong - the Lincoln-Magnet rivalry is one of the best ones in 1A if not more. Both teams have talent and both teams have proved on the pitch that they are both forces to be reckoned with. Congrats to Lincoln to making it to the State Finals, but really, as the Voice said, to root for the bad guy makes you no better does it?

...And one last thing, jaguarsfutbol, the reason why they weren't thug-like towards you guys is because they didn't have to fight to get a goal against you. Being aggressive and bullying a 2-8 team really shows some character, now doesn't it?

Ouch.........nice one mr. Bubbly wubbly. But let me tell you about that game. It was 2-1 at halftime, first off. The second half, "Batman and Robin" took over and completely dominated our inexperienced defense. My team had not played against such great talented players as Preston and Terrence. And don't let the record fool ya, because if you look at our schedule, we had some very close games. But hey, Jasper is not the topic here. The point is these guys, even when we were tied 1-1, showed class throughout the game. OK............back to the topic.

if youre scared maybe you shouldnt play lincoln again? otherwise man up and beat them next time. i played with some of the guys from lincoln when we were younger and never had anything less than the utmost respect for them, both on and off the field. maybe it was just a bad night, the tension and passion carried the fans and players away. seems like everyone else seems to think the world of these kids too, so maybe you just had a bad experience. dont hold it against the players of lincoln high school. they deserve their chance in the spotlight
