I saw the play. The red card was absurd. It was appealed and the decision was made to rescind it. The appeal process is as much a part of the rules as is any other rule. No rules were "bent." They were applied as intended.

The real shame would have been for Jenkins to have missed this game due to a bad and rash decision.
