Will there be tryouts offered in Charleston? On another thread I posted about how CESA-Columbia was bridge-ing the gaps in Columbia. I guess, I've got to eat a little crow here, now, ...that's ok b/c it seems their either going to do the same here for us BridgeFA or else now we have another option in CESA-Charleston comparable BFA...maybe better? Anyway, we'll see? What age groups are being offered at CESA-Charleston? Anyone have any additional info?

Steve: If this announcement is like the other announcements, then CESA will not offer tryouts in Charleston and there will not be a "CESA-Charleston" -- instead, training will be offered for low-country youth that play for CESA.

In order to have a "CESA-Charleston", a new club would have to be created. I know of no such club being created.

Maybe this answers some of our questions.

Training in Charleston will begin on August 13, 2007. Sessions will be held at Pinewood Prep and will be from 6:30PM to 8:00PM on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Michael Barr will run the sessions.

Isn't this a conflict of interest for Mike Barr? I thought he was affiliated with James Island and the Bridge?

He is listed on the James Island website as the Director of Coaching.

There is no conflict of interest in club soccer! Everyone is just trying to get paid.

I thought that the Pinewood coaches were working with the Bridge FA and SSC. How did CESA pull this one off. I wonder if the coaches are still coaching at Pinewood?

Check with the Pinewood AD, he has no connection to Bridge.

CESA pulled this off because there is no loyality in club soccer. Everyone is looking out for #1. Even CESA abides by this policy.

Especially might be a better word than even.
