Pretty much a ho-hum affair for the 90 minutes of regulation -- at least I thought so for the $25 to watch it on pay-per-view.

The new Wembley Stadium is a beautiful facility! The top two teams in the EPL squared off for the oldest trophy in England and battled for 115 scoreless minutes until Chelsea's Didier Drogba knocked in an overhead pass from Frank Lampard for the match's only score past Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand and Edwin Van der Sar.



The Red Devils are the EPL Champions and deservedly so in 2006-07. The Blues claimed the F.A. Cup and the Carling Cup. Liverpool is in the finals of the Champions League. What a year of English soccer!

I watched the game at Fado Irish Pub in Atlanta with 300 other fans. It was amazing! I agree that the first half was lacking a bit. But from the beginning of the second half on it was very good. Everyone in the pub was on the edge of their seat for the whole second half and extra time.

GO BLUES!!!! However it doesn't look like another season of anything less than either the Premiership or Champions League titles will keep Jose at Stamford Bridge in the future. Great goal by Didier Drogba. Was equally impressed by the pass from Lampard as I was by the finish of Drogba.

Cech was brilliant in the goal. He denied Rooney, Giggs... I thought he was man of the match.
