I thought that what I showed was all players (save one, which was marked as unknown and later the information was supplied) club affiliations. I didn't realize that this was limited to CESA only. It certainly wasn't my intent to limit it to only CESA.
In any case, here's where I have a problem with the whole "upstate/lower state" analysis. Irmo was in the lower state last year. Irmo is in the upper state this year. Irmo is about 100 miles from Greenville and about 100 miles from Charleston. Trying to create an analysis with plus or minus 100% deviation seems -- well -- difficult at best. If I had to do this, I'd try to increase my data points (over time, looking at rankings, etc.) and I'd argue based on metropolitan areas.
My guess is that if you did this, you'd see a large number of players from Greenville and Spartanburg -- beyond that which you'd expect given the number of candidates, teams, and players.
