I have posed a question based on broad information about state champs—I have no stats. . .because I don't have the state champs list anywhere in front of me.
BUT I know that soccer teams benefit HUGELY from open enrollment. If anyone thinks BE dominates girls soccer at the AA/A level for any reason other than they have a private school/open enrollment advantage, he/she is being naive.
Greenville schools also benefit from open enrollment within the large county.
My hypothesis is that there is a strong correlation between soccer programs working within open enrollment environments and success/championships. I would add I suspect some causation as well.
We might then layer on the socio-economic advantage we have identified on this board before also (Poverty Index/success).
