No, really--I believe it. BE's reputation as an outstanding soccer program is incentive enough, I'm sure, without them having to go after players. Like I said, I've never seen any evidence to the contrary from that particular school. Can't blame them for putting the wide attendance area leeway granted to them by the HSL to good use. I still think, though, that to be fair, any school that competes in the High School League should be subject to the SAME attendance area restrictions as all the other competing schools--namely, a single-school attendance zone for athletes, not the option of a whole district or county. Or, for that matter, if it's ok for certain schools to play athletes from the entire county, then why can't ALL member schools declare the entire county as their athletic attendance zone? Wouldn't you love to see the row THAT would cause?
