yes irmo does return a lot of talented players and yes all those players you listed are very quality players but this team also has a lot of growing up to do. Irmo has finished the last two seasons with a combined record of 29-15. That's not the Irmo of old that has dominated south carolina high school for the last two decades. Until irmo starts to win with the consistency like the days of old, then they aren't the team to beat. The team to beat would be spring valley. Last time I checked they were the defending state champions weren't they? As far as upperstate, I still wouldn't consider Irmo the team to beat. That honor would be Northwestern's due to the fact that they have represented the upperstate in the state championship 4 out the last 5 years. If Irmo wants to be considered among the state's elite they need to show it by winning consistently on the field

Good call hollywood. The Irmo dynasty is no more. There is a lot of quality soccer around the state these days. Spring Valley and Northwestern hold the "team to beat" status right now. Irmo has a lot of winning to do to get back to that level.

Prevailing trade winds have lulls from time to time. The IRMO trade winds are gathering steam again! 16 State Championships with an eye on 17 . . . one opponent at a time. The Dynasty is alive and well! Looking forward to a great season.

trade winds... seriously? anyways i cannot make up my mind with this irmo team, i can see them at both ends of the spectrum, however, savitz should be able to lead his team back to a respectable playoff run. lets see if the young kids on this team can keep it together though for an entire season, northwestern and spring valley should still be the favorites, if not just because they were both state finalists last year, but can northwestern live without kropp feeding enzo and alex?

can northwestern live without kropp feeding enzo and alex? u really believe that? the trojans will be back. 7 players off of the u-17 dsc state champs are on that team. they dont need much help. their facilities and coaching are top notch and northwestern not irmo is the team to beat in the upper state. nuff said....

irmo is running at like 4th in the upperstate right now behing NW, LEX, and Dorman. Irmo has to beat them all before they can lay claim to the best in upperstate

one can be beaten, two can defend themselves, but a a strand of three is not easily defeated

I would have to agree with welshwizard. Northwestern will be at the top but i really don't think they will be much of a powerhouse without kropp. i know they still have enzo and alex but without kropp feeding them the ball they wouldn't have done much. we will just have to see about the lowerstate and if spring valley will be at the top again.

i wonder how enzo and alex scored all those goals in club without kropp? i wonder how their club team won back to back state championships without kropp? one man does not a team make or break.
