Taylor Rowe didnt waste much time making an impact in the North/South Soccer Classic in Mount Pleasant Saturday.

Rowe, a recent graduate of D.W. Daniel, scored the Norths first goal in its 5-1 win when he took a corner kick from Lexingtons Sean Maupin and headed it into the net in the 31st minute.

Rowe, who also added an assist had several friends in attendance, including former Daniel coach Tommy Bolger and said he wanted to put on a show.

"It was a great time," Rowe said. "Tommy came down to see me. I wanted to impress them. Since they came down to see me, I wanted to give them a little something."

Rowe wasnt the only area player to shine in the game. Senecas Moyo Suarez added two second-half goals for the North.
