All Head Coaches,
It is time to start compiling a pool of players for The COLUMBIA UNITED FC Clash of the Carolinas and THE COLUMBIA UNITED FC North/South Soccer Classic. We hope to name rosters of 18 for each team. This will require YOUR participation. Now that your pre-season is done and you have perhaps even played a tournament, you should have a good idea of who on your team may be worthy of representing either SC or the Upper State or Lower State. Remember, seniors only. I would like to begin compiling a watch list that will be published in the SCHSSCA Private Forum of the message board. this is only a start.We will only consider players submitted by head coaches and sent by e-mail to
wquinlan@lex5.k12.sc.us. To avoid the possibility of being denied by our district filter, please put “All Star Watch List” in the subject line. Please include the following information about your player: full name, number, positions(s).Also keep in mind that character is perhaps the most important quality. The list will be updated weekly so that coaches can check the list prior to playing your team and thereby offer an informed evaluation when the time comes. Soon I will be asking some of you to serve on the selection committee.
