So I can't resist.

Woodruff Girls, defeated higher-ranked SCS at Easley.

Woodruff is under-rated. After falling in the State championship only 1-0, and having a tremendous infusion of high-quality 9th graders, they are at least #3. . .

I'll go out on a limb and say Woodruff didn't just have a good TEAM over the past few years, they are now a PROGRAM. The athletic department and coaches have really accomplished something there. . .

Barnwell's girls won the classic U-16 division so that offers some encouragement for the year. One goal loss to Aiken high helps as well. Should they get some more experience on the challenge level - top 5???

W&E,

LCSC won the U-16 girls classic division this past Fall, but I think Barnwell did win either U-15, or 17/18, which means they have to have some quality talent. As for the 1 goal loss to the Enigma that is Aiken High, that is just too hard to analyze at this point...

That said, they still scare me, and I see no reason they could not be top 5.

Lexington United won the U16 Classic Cup and Summerville finished first in the U16 PMSL standings. I don't think Barnwell had a U16 team.

I believe Barnwell's U17 team finished second in PMSL league standings behind Coast FA.

The Barnwell U15 team finished 5th in the PMSL league standings.

Correction:

Barnwell girls won the classic division in 2006 and played in the President's cup in Tampa in the summer of 2007

Barnwell also has no seniors on the team. The JV program did very well last year and returns all of their players as well. Look for the team to be very competitive for the next couple of years.
