I am supposed to be leaving at the end of next week to go to Europe for 3 weeks. My agent arranged try-outs with Sunderland,Watford,Wolverhampton,Real Valladolid, and Metz. I was told that even if i go and try-out and dont make a team, then when I come back I will not be able to play high school soccer again because I break the amateur rule because for a period of time, I was playing at a higher level. Does anyone know anything about this?

first off, who are you? to get those kinds of tryouts, you must be very good! where do you play?

as for the eligibility, then I think that you'll probably violate your amateur status by having an agent. you may want to contact the high school league directly for clarification.

If you are that good who cares about HS??? College may be another issue.

If it would offer a once in a lifetime experience, provide insight, enlightenment as well as development as a keeper, the SCHSL will most likely have a rule(s)/law(s) prohibiting it.

Did the CUFC U17 team play in the premier league in Fall 2007?

no, we lost to the Discoveries the year before 2-1 in 2nd round playoffs who won the state championship

by agent you mean a travel agent right? If you've already hired an "agent" this issue is a moot point anyway.
