Since nobody can come up with a best goal. im going to name 2 sensational goals i witnessed. 1st goal is Will Moores 30 yard rip at Beaufort High which swerved past 3 BHS players on the way to the side net. 2nd best goal would have to be Michael Merrows 25 yard half volley in the region championship game which was a laser of a shot that hit the upper 90 crossbar and bounced right into the top net.

I'll nominate Spring Valley's Antoine Parris' second goal in last years' championship game against NW. He went on a solo run from about the NW 18, through the midfield, and finished with a shot from the outside of his right foot from the keepers right that finished just inside the far post. Beautiful, in a big game.

Sickest goal I ever saw was 3 years ago. A kid from Hilton Head was a little inside the 18, had the ball at his feet, flicked it up to himself and drilled it top 90.

Jamal Geathers from South Aiken scored a remarkable goal in 2005 at The Cage as he hit an outsided of the foot shot from 35-40 yards away that literally crossed the goal mouth and found the side-netting. I stood up and cheered and my B-C boys around me asked what the heck I was doing, but it was such a great goal, it had to be celebrated!!!

Kudos to South Carolina high school coaches and soccer clubs for producing such high quality players!

And kudos to a coach who can cheer a great effort, even if it's by the other team.

The best goal I witnessed wasn't in a high school match, but a 6v6 match a couple of years ago. A fellow named Chris Bullis(I believe played D1 in Switzerland) who I was on a team with had a ball played to him about 20 yards out. In stride, he rainbowed the ball over his head and the defender. Then hit a volley that hit backside netting. The keeper had no chance.

I guess thats why he played in Europe.
