If someone from the North-South Soccer Classic picked up a #8 jersey for the North team (blue), please contact Kyle Heise at kyle.heise@sc.rr.com as soon as possible. Each player is allowed to keep their jersey from this prestigious event and Colden King of Chapin HS took his off after the boys match and it was picked up by someone else. Thank you!

The SCHSSCA wrapped up the 22nd Annual North-South Soccer Classic on Saturday, June 19 with two spirited matches. Congratulations to the participating coaches and players for their performances. A big thank you to all of the players that made attending and playing in the match a priority as all 72 players were in attendance!

Special thanks should be made to NSSC Director Katie Smith for her outstanding efforts in coordinating this prestigious event. Kudos to the following SCHSSCA members who volunteered to stage the two-day event: Troy Bennage, Matt Brophy, David Easley, Kyle Heise, William Hosea, Gayle Hosea, Wayne Quinlan, Frank Ridlehoover, Emily Logan Setzler, Dick Smith, Linda Smith, and the other coaches that provided assistance on match day.

A big thank you goes out to Wofford's John Blair for his outstanding service in working with us in any manner needed. Thanks to Dorman HS (Chuck & Eric) for their assistance in setting up for the banquet. Also, a shout out to Rib King (Solomon & Co.) for their outstanding banquet meal.

Last but certainly not least, thanks to South Carolina United FC for their financial support of this event. SCUFC's unselfish contributions make this all-star game possible and the SCHSSCA sincerely appreciates the efforts of the club in providing monetary assistance.

All in all, another good weekend and hopefully the players/coaches will be able to look back fondly on this event in the future.
