Nominations are Open for 2024-25 High School Scholar All-America

Online nominations are now open for the United Soccer Coaches High School Scholar All-America program for the 2024-25 academic year (fall, winter, and spring seasons). The awards are presented annually to high school seniors nominated by coaches who are members of the association.

Nominations will remain open until July 7, 2025. The committee then reviews the nominations and selects both Scholar All-Region and Scholar All-America players for recognition. In addition, one male and one female are selected as the Scholar All-America Players of the Year.​​​​​​

Once the academic criteria is met for nomination, selection is made specifically based on the student’s soccer achievements during the season of nomination and over their career. To become a Scholar All-American at the interscholastic level, a player must:

Be nominated by his or her head coach. The coach must be a United Soccer Coaches member at the time of nomination.
Nominated players must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better (on a 4.0 scale) through the first semester of their senior year. Weighted GPAs may be used since the committee reviews all transcripts and evaluates academic strength of schedule.
The student-athlete must have demonstrated recognized excellence in high school soccer such as being named to an All-State team. Players with missing or incomplete award profiles will not be considered for this honor.
The student-athlete must have exhibited the highest standards of sportsmanship and ethical behavior throughout their high school career as certified by the coach and/or a high school administrator.
The High School Scholar All-America Committee, based on the criteria, reviews the nominations and makes the selections. The deadline for nominations July 7, 2025. A release form and electronic version of the student’s high school transcript must be uploaded at the time of nomination.
