Good evening Charlie,
My name is Robbie Crawford and I’m the assistant coach for the Charleston Battery. Pleasure to connect with you and I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch.
To get straight to the point, I’m running our annual tryouts coming up in January 2026. We have an ‘academy’ one for 15-19 year olds and we have an Open one which is for anyone 18+.
A few mutual connections we have spoke highly of you and your connections in the game as well as the organization you’re a part of and I was excited to be introduced to you… It was my hope that you would be able to spread the word with your high school coaches that we are running this event for 15-19 year old players. Is that something you’d be able to do? More than happy to return the favor in some way so please think of something. I think it will be a great experience for any player in attendance and will serve the soccer community in the area well. Anyone that does well at the event has the chance to sign a non paying contract with us so they are still able to play high school and club soccer while being in our professional environment every day.
